Kazakhstan
Mawarid has entered into cooperation
agreements with a Data Mining a Kazakhstan
exploration company for the purpose of
exploration under two subsoil contracts;
Boke and Kopalinskoye. Mawarid sees Central
Asia and Kazakhstan as having significant
mineral potential and will seek out further
opportunities in the region.
Kopalinskoye Copper-Gold Project
Kopaly is a Cu/Au prospect in southern
Kazakhstan 200km from Almaty. Mawarid is
funding a five drillhole program to target
potential porphyry mineralisation. Drilling
is due to be completed in October 2011.
Boke Gold Project
The Boke Gold Project is located in
north-eastern Kazakhstan, close to the town
of Georgiyevka.
The deposits are located in the Charsk gold
belt, which contains numerous gold deposits
including the nearby 3.8Moz Bakyrchik
Deposit (Ivanhoe Mines). Drilling by Data
Mining indicates a small near surface gold
resource, and Mawarid believes there is good
potential to expand the resource and find
new zones of mineralisation.
At Boke Mawarid has entered into a JV with
Data Mining. The agreement is in its final
stages of government registration.
Tanzania
Mawarid has setup a local company and office
in Dar es Salaam and is currently reviewing
exploration opportunities in the country.
Mawarid is confident of establishing a
package of good quality projects in Tanzania
in the near future.
Nautilus Acquisition
Mawarid Mining becomes 3rd largest investor
in Nautilus Minerals inc.
Further Opportunities
Mawarid is interested in discussing about
further exploration, drilling and mining
projects with potential partners. |
